Kidi Maluku

Previously, Ms. Maluku served as Principal State Counsel in the Legal and Host Country Directorate of Kenya’s Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, advising on foreign policy and international law and participating in the negotiation and drafting of bilateral and multilateral treaties, agreements and other international legal instruments.

Her earlier roles include service at the Office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice, where she handled investigations, professional misconduct matters and alternative dispute resolution, and as a Legal Researcher at the Court of Appeal of Kenya, where she undertook legal research and supported judicial decision-making and court administration. She began her career in private legal practice, focusing on commercial transactions, conveyancing, banking security documentation and client advisory services.

She holds an LL.M from the University of Nairobi, an LL.B from Moi University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and has undertaken professional training in strategic leadership, senior management and trial advocacy.

Miss Maluku’s areas of professional expertise include international law and diplomacy, multilateral affairs, legal advisory services, negotiation, human rights, education policy, dispute resolution, institutional governance and leadership.
