H.E. Prof. Peter Ngure, Kenya’s Ambassador and Permanent Delegate to UNESCO, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Prof. Emmy Jerono Kipsoi, Kenya’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, during his visit to the country for the 11th International Conference on Global Citizenship Education (IConGCED).
The meeting provided an opportunity for the two Ambassadors to exchange views on Prof. Ngure’s engagements in the Republic of Korea and to discuss areas of mutual interest, particularly in education and culture.
Their discussions also touched on Kenya’s engagement within UNESCO and opportunities to advance the country’s interests through international cooperation in areas falling within UNESCO’s mandate.
Prof. Ngure’s participation in the 11th IConGCED forms part of Kenya’s continued engagement in international dialogue on education and global citizenship, while providing an opportunity to strengthen collaboration with partners and Kenya’s diplomatic representation in the Republic of Korea.
The courtesy meeting underscored the importance of coordination among Kenya’s diplomatic missions in advancing the country’s priorities and strengthening its engagement within multilateral institutions.
