Africa Week 2026 : Ensuring Sustainable Availability of Water and Safe Sanitation Systems to Achieve the Objectives of Agenda 2063

This year, UNESCO Africa Week, in its 2026 edition, underscores the importance of sustainable action under the theme: “Ensuring Sustainable Availability of Water and Safe Sanitation Systems to Achieve the Objectives of Agenda 2063.”

Held from 19 to 22 May 2026 at the UNESCO’s Headquarters in Paris, this edition will feature a rich and diverse programme built around conferenceshigh-level panelsyouth activities, meetings with civil societyexhibitionscinemagastronomy, a Book fair, a fashion showand a gala. Through these different highlights, UNESCO and the Africa Group will spotlight issues related to water, youth, culture and sustainable development on the African continent.
