H.E. Amb. Prof. Peter Ngure presented opening remarks at the ongoing Digital Literacy Week at the UNESCO headquarters. He expressed Kenya’s appreciation to UNESCO, the People’s Repuvlic of China, CODEMAO and other partners for their support in training teachers and students in Kenya and for renewing the contract for 2025 – 2030 that will train 5,000 students and over 500 teachers.
“AI literacy and coding builds learners’ critical and analytical thinking skills as it opens brw pathways in their careers and enterpreneurship”, he said.
The parallel session on Coding and AI literacy was graced by the CEO pf CODEMAO Mr. Li Tianchi, the Ambassador of China to UNESCO H.E. Ms. Yang and Kenya’d Deputy Permanent Delegate Amb. Kasera Achayo and other digitaries.
