Under the leadership of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hon. PS Dr Korir Sing’Oei, Amb. Prof. Peter Ngure, together with the bilateral Kenya Embassy Amb. Betty Cherwon leading the delegation, had the privilege of participating in a high-level study visit at the OECD Paris, focusing on strengthening bilateral collaboration and exploring OECD’s expertise in supporting Kenya’s policy priorities under Vision 2030.
As part of the Africa-OECD Partnership, discussions centered on enhancing cooperation in education, science, technology, and cultural development, aligning with UNESCO’s mandate. Key areas of focus included regional integration, governance, and economic resilience, particularly in relation to Kenya’s engagement with global markets and sustainable development.
A significant takeaway from the visit was the need for a structured and results-driven approach to Kenya-OECD collaboration. The delegation emphasized the importance of practical, evidence-based solutions in areas such as education, artificial intelligence (AI), social and human sciences, and policy alignment.
As Kenya explores the potential for OECD partnership, the delegation remains committed to deepening engagement and fostering technical cooperation to advance Kenya’s long-term educational, scientific, and economic development objectives.
We look forward to continued collaboration and meaningful partnerships!
